Community of Play is a play space designed by early childhood educators and therapeutic professionals with young children’s development in mind.
We are a space for children to freely explore a wide variety of age appropriate materials that are thoughtfully curated and intentionally planned. Our classes aim to meet each child where they are to support their growth. Whether it’s art, yoga or a curated play experience, we focus on giving children the agency to make choices, work on mindfulness and focus on the process of what they are doing.
Why play? We believe in the importance and power of play. Child-led (and grownup-supported) play gives children agency to explore, make mistakes, take risks, problem solve and master new skills. Play supports self regulation, executive functioning skills, social skills and creativity.
